Ever wondered how to spend a sunny afternoon in the city center of Brussels? Here is the "story" of our walk during one sunny winter day... We have selected 4 special places to discover.
Let's start your visit by going to "Mont des Arts" Gardens. Have you ever heard about them? They were developed in 1910 at King Leopold II's request. Nowadays, they offer you a stunning panoramic view towards Grand Place.
In case of good weather, you will see a lot of street artists like talented singers and salseros ! Just listen, watch & dance!
If you are hungry and want to eat traditional Belgian food, don't hesitate to buy a Belgian
waffle which is a delicious snack to taste during your walk!
Near Mont des Arts, you can also find some famous museums like Bozar, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts and the Royal Library.
The second place we advise you to see is "Les Galeries Royales" or "Les Galeries de la Reine". These are a historic shopping arcade full of luxury brands, gifts shops, cafés and cultural places. It is a must see.
Afterwards, the other place to discover is "Grand Place". It is the central square of Brussels, considered as one of the most beautiful places of the world. There, you can admire the architecture of typical houses and the gothic building of the well-known Town Hall of Brussels.
Last but not least, just next to Grand Place, you can meet "Manneken Pis", the famous little boy fountain which has been an emblem of the Brussels residents since the 17th century. On special occasions, you can see him dressed up with special clothes!
